SportsMEDIA was founded in 1988 by developing the first real-time scoring and wireless data delivery system for use on the PGA Tour.

SportsMEDIA was formally incorporated in June 1990.

By 1991, the company's technology regularly aired on NBC Sports PGA telecasts.

In 1992, SportsMEDIA signed an exclusive multi-year service agreement to provide ESPN with real-time data and scoring and on-air graphics products for NASCAR, Indy Car and X-Games telecasts.

In 1996, with the exclusive agreement near expiration and with numerous inquiries from other leading networks, it was determined that it was in the best interest of the company to pursue non-exclusive opportunities.

Soon after, SportsMEDIA began providing products and services to ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, and many regional broadcasters around the country while continuing its relationship with ESPN.

Today the company continues expanding its client base, offering a variety of products and services to broadcasters of live sports events, while continuously developing cutting edge products.
